Spanish Golden Visa Requirements
To qualify for the Spain Residence by Investment Program, applicants must make one of the following investments in Spain:

Real estate purchase of at least EUR 500,000, either in a single property or multiple properties.
Investment of at least EUR 1 million in Spanish financial assets, including investment funds, bank deposits, or shares in publicly listed companies.
Government bonds investment of at least EUR 2 million.
Applicants must provide documentary evidence of the investment as part of the application process.
 

Applicants must submit their requests using the prescribed forms, along with the required fees and supporting documents. The initial residence permit is granted for three years and can be renewed for an additional five years, provided that the applicant maintains the required investment in Spain.

The application process consists of two main stages:

Initial Visa Application:

Applicants must first apply for a Spanish residence visa in their home country.
This visa allows them to live and work in Spain for one year.

Residence Permit Application:

After obtaining the visa, applicants must apply for a Spanish residence permit.
If the applicant enters Spain on a regular tourist visa, they may apply for the residence permit directly, skipping the first phase.
The residence permit extends to the main investor, their spouse or partner (including unmarried and same-sex unions), and all financially dependent children and parents.

There is no minimum stay requirement to maintain residency, but applicants must visit Spain at least once to obtain their first residence permit.

Spanish Citizenship Eligibility

Residents can apply for Spanish citizenship after 10 years of continuous residence.
Fast-track citizenship: Sephardic Jews, as well as nationals of Equatorial Guinea, Latin American countries, Andorra, Portugal, and the Philippines, may apply for citizenship after just two years of effective residence.
Most foreign nationals are subject to dual citizenship restrictions, requiring them to renounce their original nationality when acquiring Spanish citizenship.
